Our Students
One of the values of Hawthorne Midwives is to be a place of learning and growth. For this reason we strive to include student midwives in your care as much as possible. We work with the Midwifery Education Program, where students come to do their placements in our clinic. Students work at different levels depending on where they are at in their degree. While it is not compulsory to have students involved in your care, we would encourage you to speak to your midwife about students, as they can add a lot of value to your experience.

Before midwifery, I completed an undergraduate degree in Life Sciences and graduated Spring of 2021 from McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Science (HBSc) and a minor in Psychology. I entered the Midwifery program in Fall 2021 and completed my Normal Childbearing at The Hamilton Midwives.
I am most familiar with St. Joseph’s Hamilton Healthcare at the Charlton Campus working with postpartum, NICU, lactation, and L&D. I’ve also helped at the pregnancy shelter, Shifra Homes in Burlington, and the Midwifery Care Unit at McMaster Children’s Hospital. For my OB placement, I was at Victoria Hospital within London Health Sciences Centre.
My ambitions are to help vulnerable pregnant populations with sexual health education, pregnancy, labour, and childbirth. I am quite passionate about advocating for breastfeeding and believe it is a very special bond for parents and newborns to have.
During my free time, I enjoy going out to eat, spending time with friends and family as well as learning different languages. My favourite colour is orange and I love travelling!
I have lived in Mississauga for most of my life and I am glad to be back for my final year and helping catch babies in the Milton/Mississauga region!
